Welcome to Therapies on the Wolds.

Before becoming a complementary therapist nineteen years ago, Anne worked as a clinical nurse teacher in the NHS. While living in West Yorkshire, she ran the successful Leeds School of Natural Therapies, seeing most of her students obtain credits and distinctions in their ITEC examinations.

Anne’s first step into Complementary Therapies was to train as a reflexologist, as she had benefited from the treatment. Soon, however, her fascination in this new world led her to train in massage. Believing that it would be make her a better therapist, she then undertook Aromatherapy and Sports Therapy training. Meanwhile, clients were telling her that “some sort of healing” was coming through her hands and this led to her eventually becoming a Reiki Master, conducting attunements in Usui, Karuna and Seichim Reiki.

Teaching is done on a one-to-one basis or in small groups on a flexible basis, so that students can proceed at their own pace and at the most convenient times/dates. As a former nurse teacher, she is particularly sensitive to individual learning needs and has taught many students with dyslexia. One student recently said: “Anne, you have not just taught me…you have inspired me!”

Following many requests from her students, last year saw Anne opening her partner school, East Yorkshire School of Hypnotherapy, and now offers courses in Wetwang and Harrogate.

A Warm Welcome
